Mopar Deal is a Great Incentive for Dodge Challenger Buyers

by Dodge in the News on March 19, 2010

Pulling Chrysler out of its current sales dive will be a serious challenge, and the automaker is responding with the ideal Challenger: The company is making its modern-day muscle car the centerpiece of a unique incentive program that gives $2,000 in “Mopar Bucks” to buyers of the HEMI-engined 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T, R/T Classic or SRT8.

Buyers can use this newly minted money to customize their Challenger experience in one of three ways. They can buy factory-installed Mopar Appearance Packages, which include a T/A hood with scoop, body-colored rear wing, special graphics, door sill guards and a “bright pedal” kit for auto-box Challengers.

The second option is to use the Chrysler cash for Mopar mechanicals like suspension kits and cat-back dual exhaust systems.

Finally, for any Dodge drivers who happen to value protection over performance, there’s also a variety of customer-care packages offering three-year/36,000-mile comprehensive coverage including lube and oil filter changes, scheduled/recommended maintenance, roadside assistance and more.

“One of the joys of owning the iconic Dodge Challenger muscle car is the ability to take an already head-turning design and create a highly customized and personalized ride, thanks to Mopar’s exclusive collection of quality-tested performance parts and accessories,” said Ralph Gilles, head of Dodge and also Chrysler’s senior vice president for product design.

Another those joys? That Dodge HEMI power. The R/T and R/T Classic both pack a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 good for 372 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, while the SRT8 rocks a 6.1-liter HEMI powerplant that makes a better 425 hp and 420 lb-ft of twist.

But it’s a mix of style and substance that’s only available under these terms until April 30, 2010.
